Nobody said banning guns will stop ALL shootings. But it will drastically reduce the amount of shootings over time. Once a large percentage of guns are off the streets and out of people's hands and harder to attain, you'll see the difference. It's late rly obvious to most people

Banning guns is not magic. If you could ban guns and that would result in those guns disappearing, sure. But again, over 340 million *unregistered* guns here. Cocaine is still available and its supply has to be replenished. Guns are not biodegradable. It’s magical thinking.

“Once a large percentage of guns are off the streets”... HOW?! Australia’s guns were registered, and they got rid of 600,000 of them. We have over 550 TIMES AS MANY and only 1% are registered! We need to deal in the world as it is, not as we wish it were. Join me in reality.

The reality is that you need to get rid of the guns. Yes, you have a lot of guns, but a total ban and also incentives to hand in weapons, plus strict punishment for those in possession of weapons, will work. It might take 10 years, maybe even 50. But in the end, they'll be gone.

In the future, say, 200 years from now, guns will be banned in every country on Earth. As the population of the earth generally get smarter and more educated, guns will be less and less acceptable. You can try and stall it, but what's the point? America is already behind on this.

Using the excuse that America has too many guns currently, as an excuse to not ban them, is ridiculous. One day they will all be banned everywhere. America needs to grow up and realise people do not NEED guns. You just want them because you all think you're Rambo. You're not.

Asking law-abiding civilians to give up their only means of defense in a country with this many guns, where poverty and crime are rampant and inequality is accelerating, is foolish. They won’t do it. You need to make society safer/more egalitarian *first*. 1/2

And the thing is, after you make the society better as I described, the push to ban guns will die down. Your way of thinking, frankly, is no better than “thoughts and prayers” that are given after every mass shooting.

Yes, ask law abiding citizens to give up guns for the betterment of everyone, shocked? Crime and poverty? You speak as if America is a third world country in Asia. Land of the FREE where everyone NEEDS a gun to protect themselves from the government and their next-door neighbors

The fact is, a country can successfully ban guns. It's been done countless times, and it lowers gun crime. You will never stop shootings until guns are hard to obtain. That is a fact. 200 years from now there will be few guns in public. Start now, stop wasting time. People dying

False assertions abound... You haven’t paid attention to *any* of the data I’ve provided you. At all. Have a good day.
