You’re on the right track. They have much greater socioeconomic equality in ALL of the countries in that graphic than we have here. But between one another, it’s not a massive difference, therefore gun crime isn’t a massive difference despite different gun-ownership rates.

Until America bans all guns, you are doomed. It will happen. Kids growing up now will one day ban guns in the U.S, but I suppose not enough children's blood has been spilt (yet). Problem with guns is that they are so impersonal, so easy to pull a trigger. Stabbing is difficult.

You can easily kill people without the act of actual violence. Shooting is a violent crime, but it s not really a violent act. You simply pull a trigger and can separate emotions from it. Stabbing, well that's emotionally and physically difficult. Guns make it too easy. Ban them.

Until Americans can "grow up" and play nicely with others (like most of us Europeans) then you shouldn't be allowed to play with guns. It's like you are naughty children and need to be treated as such. It's embarrassing.

While America is at it, we should ban cocaine, heroin, prostitution, etc., too. I should’ve thought of that. Stupid me didn’t realize that laws were magical and bans cause the dematerialization of all of the things legally banned.

Cocaine, Heroin and Prost' are personal choices for oneself. Guns are created to kill OTHERS. There is a massive difference. You will never completely stop shootings. But you can make a huge difference if guns are simply not available. The world is watching and laughing at you.

You misunderstood the analogy. My point about drugs and prostitution isn’t that they’re similar to firearms in *function*. It’s that they’re banned and still not at all hard to find. You can’t make guns “not available” in a country with more *unregistered* guns than people.
