Steve because kids were given bb guns and .22s and then Hunter Safety Courses were created and mandatory for hunting kids. This is not the 60s anymore and at some point we have to start realizing the changes are quite possibly necessary at this time. Was talking abt military.
I know. But there’s no age when a person suddenly leaps into “responsibility”. Responsibility is a character trait that shows up as soon as it’s needed, regardless of age. Or, it doesn’t. Regardless of age.

Responsibility and brain development actually impact one another quite a bit. Reasoning skills are much better after puberty and brain development is far better at 21 than even 18. I have 4 son's myself ages 14 to 22. I got plenty of data.

I was thinking a bit more about what you are saying. I agree to some of where you are coming from. Responsibility is also a modeled & taught thing. When I was kid & handled a gun I was taught gun is loaded & to never point at a person, all my targets were round not human shaped

I was also raised in a home with gun violence so for me I have a very personal POV. But when I was to start learning to handle a gun it was a wood cut in the shape of a gun first, then after being trained I was given a real one. Just saying, it was a progression.
