That it was the President who shamed him. We're all capable of doing the job, but when it comes from that office, it's worse. Don't be surprised if this guy eats a bullet.
Usually, combat soldiers freeze when *they* are under fire, not when other people are. It’s dangerous to defend this coward’s behavior. His shaming could result in others leaving their similar jobs *before* it’s too late.

I'm not defending his behavior. As I noted - repeatedly - I agree that he should be ashamed. Rather, I think that it is appropriate for the White House to refrain from piling on. The rest of us are doing a great job of expressing our contempt. I suspect that no one is confused.

Ok. Well, you’ve repeated that position, but it still doesn’t make sense to me why you think the president shouldn’t shame someone who deserves shame. People who choose positions of power must be held to a *higher* standard. That includes cops, politicians, and more.
