You're a candidate so don't work out of a government office? Is that true?

I'm not a teacher, but if I was and carrying a gun, or working in an environment where my co-workers did, would simply be a deal breaker for me. As I assume it would become for many.
My idea is to use Air Marshals as an example and allow teachers to *volunteer* to go through the *same* background checks and training as Air Marshals (adjusted for schools) & carry concealed. I’d only allow the principles and vice principles to know who’s carrying (if any1). 1/2

So it doesn’t force anybody to carry firearms at all. Kids need protection. Armed security chickens out or will just be shot first because they’re easy to recognize. Teachers want to save their kids. Last week, 2 kids took guns to school in Texas for *protection*.

You have 98,000 schools in the US...I'm assuming that you would need more than one per school, plus some back ups for holiday, and sick days. Call it 4 per school (and I am just guessing at that). You have that many Air Marshals you can adequately provide to do this? 1/2
