I don’t see why we can’t have a middle ground. For example, make the same rules we apply to cars apply to guns. That seems well regulated to me.
The 2nd amendment, which you’re referencing, was acknowledging the militia mentioned in Article 1, Section 8, then saying the *people* (on *contrast* to the militia mentioned in the body of the document) have a right to bear arms, too.

Fair enough. I know personally I shouldn’t be able to own a gun. I am treating my depression so I’m able to recognize that. I think we need to do something to keep guns away form crazy people.

I mean yeah I get the 2nd amendment and all that but the founding fathers have a ton of letters saying they intended for things to evolve with society and what we have now clearly isn’t working.
