that's false. They barely got the numbers they needed and were able to slide in ACA despite complete GOP opposition. And then they got creamed in the 2010 mid terms for it. You care about those 28 million without insurance still?

don't play accelerationist politics and self indulgent principled ploys that do nothing to help them but most likely end up giving them plenty of company when the protections and insurance of the ACA is demolished

They got creamed because the ACA was a bad law. They had 58 votes in the Senate, plus Bernie and Lieberman. They had the votes & could’ve used the “nuclear option” to pass universal healthcare. They just didn’t want to. As a result, people are dying and you’re apologizing for it.

Lieberman is the one that mucked it up. They got creamed in 2010 because the law wasn't good enough for some and again let consequences of sitting out/protest voting hurt chances to keep moving forward.

Again, if being principled is letting the house burn down or progress get pushed back because you don't think it went far enough your "principles" are ego and don't help. They're regressive and bad strategy. And they're not about what you say u want

One step back, two steps forward. It’s fine. What won’t work is continuing to vote for the Democrats and hoping that, as a result, they’ll change. People/parties don’t change if they’re winning. Your vote is an *endorsement* of the status quo.

If you want change, you have to let them keep losing until they refuse *all* corporate/Super PAC/dark money contributions. Because healthcare won’t be fixed until the healthcare industry doesn’t own the legislators. Thus my candidacy.
