I still cannot understand why people would belong to parties and then fight the party about doing what’s right. If all of these people left that party and just won as independents, displacing Dems, you’d probably fix that party. And if the party didn’t change, it’d die. Pretty sure phil's point is if his movement is truly such a massive organic majority those same issues wouldn't matter as much or be issues at all
Partisanship is a powerful opiate. People feel invested in their “team.” The duopoly relies on this so they can continually win elections while doing as little as possible for the people.
