Agreed! So, take them to court and give them due process, then remove their legal right to own a firearm.

So would it not be helpful to (again) - restrict gun show sales/ enforce stricter background checks/ make those who wish to own guns prove that they are responsible enough to do so?

The burden of proof must always be on the state. Always.

Would the 14th Amendment not make a provision for States to decide on their own to allow or alter the Second amendment at per state level? Or am I reading that incorrectly?
