Each congressperson gets about $800,000 per year to cover staff. They’re paid well, have good benefits. Unionization is nice, but it’s an obvious ploy. Instead, I’ve pledged to hire *all* my staff from my district so income goes to the district.

No reason why not. It’s a ploy to appeal to unions since the AFLCIO bailed on the party (with good reason).

Ah I see. At this point it looks like Bryce is going to mop the floor with Ryan, with or without union support.
