Every life lost, whether by homicide, suicide, or accident, is a tragedy. It’s the loss of a mother, father, son, daughter, brother, or sister to someone, and they’re all tragic. And when these losses are preventable, we should do everything in our power to prevent them. 1/

But rather than “thoughts and prayers” here’s some data, and some ideas how to prevent some of these mass-shootings moving forward: Depending on the source you trust, we have between 325 million and 650 million guns in this country. That’s bad enough. But... 2/

It came to 4,972,489. So, that leaves a *minimum* of 320 MILLION guns that are not in any way registered with the government. 3/

Which means the government has very little real idea where these firearms are even located. I’m running for Congress to actually start us down the path of fixing what ails our nation. I don’t want to make people *feel* better, but actually make people better. 4/

A huge part of this requires that we realize that laws are not magical. Another huge part is about concentrating on legislation that will actually help people - as many people as possible, as significantly as possible. Example: Universal healthcare must be a top priority. 5/
