The funny thing is that Progressives understand the fight for increase in rights. They live for it. So why is a gun owners rights different? Can they at least start to understand the intensity of the desire to protect their rights. Can we start the dialogue there?

We need FEWER guns in the hands of those who should not have them. Period. And if a person is NOT willing to admit that fact, then they are not serious about wanting to solve the problem of gun violence in America, regardless of what they're willing to do on the other 4 parts.
Republicans and Democrats both refuse to deal with *all* of those factors. I did the math above to illustrate the gun part. It’s really not the guns.

It IS, in fact, the guns, Steve. ALL FIVE or a person is BSing. Most Democratic pols at all levels have been willing to tackle ALL FIVE, to varying degrees. Overwhelmingly, Repubs refuse to tackle the gun component. Flat-out refuse. That's the starting point. ALL 5 or failure
