The funny thing is that Progressives understand the fight for increase in rights. They live for it. So why is a gun owners rights different? Can they at least start to understand the intensity of the desire to protect their rights. Can we start the dialogue there?

At least 2 responses to your question have been revealed during previous events: 1) there WAS someone with a gun who either was killed or in the wrong place, so how many is enough? 2) How can you tell if a guy with a gun is the original gunman or a "good guy"? Whom do you shoot?
1) No solution is a 100% fix. That said, I think the solution is “School Marshals” not uniformed security. They just become the first target, or the person to avoid. 2) Good guy will put down the weapon and put his hands up upon police arrival. Bad guy will shoot at them.

Gun education incoming: The top firearm here is an AR. Bottom is an M14. Both can carry the same number of rounds. Bottom gun fires the bullet on the right. Top gun fires the one on the left. What about *before* the police get there? That was your point, right? How do you stop the real gunman? How is the "good guy with a gun" to recognize that another "good guy w a gun" is not the actual shooter?
