It’s the wrong question. The question is, with a minimum of 320 million unregistered weapons in circulation, how will a ban of any type of those weapons actually prevent these events?

Looking at the problem and saying that it’s already too big and nothing can be done doesn’t solve it either. It takes little steps. You have to start somewhere and guns that shoot 700 rounds per minute seems like a good place to start.
