Our govt doesn't hate Democracy (at least elsewhere). It doesn't love or hate democracy or dictatorship, left or right. All it cares about is whether the regime in charge wants to do business with us. If yes, fine. If no, "regime change".
That support included the sale of necessary components for chemical & biological weapons to Iraq. And when you see someone claim we actual found WMDs in Iraq, they were weapons we sold to them.
