Steve, I appreciate your advocacy for immigrants. And I'm not saying you take the position you do on working with the alt-right out of malice. You may genuinely believe it is the best road to accomplish needed reforms. But I think that working w/ them will normalize them.

I like much of your platform Steve. So I'll leave you with this: Do you really think my concerns are based on (only) bias? I have a phd in the health field. I have a degree in poli sci. I just think the electoral coalition you are suggestion has HUGE downsides.

I don't believe bad ideas can take further hold through open discussion. Are you afraid they're smarter than we are? Because I'm definitely not.

Its not about intelligence. Vaccine researchers are smarter than anti-vaxxers, but the latter group has continued to grow. I think its because debate elevates these position as equally valid in the eyes of some. There are some ideas we don't debate, because we know better.

There has never been a broad-reach debate between an anti-vaxxer and an actual scientist. And *that* is why it's spreading. That's my entire point.

There have been many debates. Look at climate change... that's been debated with a wide audience... yet people denying climate change persists/grows. Same with intelligent design and evolution. You are literally talking to a scientist about debating these things!
