Can someone please convey to @realstevecox that I’m feeling targeted and harassed by him. Please leave me alone. I have every right to speak about my experience with a candidate. Also, this type of behavior from a candidate is WHY he was blocked in the first place.

Their boundaries are theirs. Their readiness is also theirs. I'll respect boundaries and readiness if I'm made aware. Otherwise, they're blaming a messenger for telling something they don't want to hear, and that's frankly why people still support either party.

I don't think you understand. Many of us don't support either party. We just don't agree with the coalition you are suggesting to upend that power dynamic.

Coalition? We have a narrow majority who want universal healthcare. If that narrow majority becomes large majority, it *might* help change things. And if someone with many dispicable views, but a very large audience, can help us on healthcare, we should take advantage. 1/2

And opening that dialog is also an opportunity for us to *correct* him in the many areas where he's in error. We can't build the society we want without planning to include *everybody* in it. That's his error, and possibly yours. 2/2

If you have the time, I suggest watching (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=j6GFKo6_sOU …). It will highlight many of the traps you are falling into w/ this logic. Trust me, I've thought about this. Whatever gains you think are made will not outweigh the cost. And you will not bear those costs. I will.

I firmly believe that in a forum of debate, the best ideas win. His ideas in regard to race/ethnicity/nationalism are dispicable and often idiotic. I simply don't believe engaging him would help his side on those things.

That's where I vehemently disagree. It normalizes it. And I can tell you from experience. The alt-right wasn't taken seriously in Charlottesville. They were given platforms. Liberals legitimized them. And they grew. And they did what you all got to see on tv.

I disagree. I want to *eliminate* those views from our society, and I believe the *only* way to defeat *any* ideas - whether terrorism, nationalism, or racism - is with better ideas. Attacking them only sends them back underground where it grows in the dark.

Honest question: Have you ever convinced someone on the alt-right to abandon their bigoted ideology? I haven't. And I don't think I can. Some can be changed... but this is a SLOW process. They want the attention, IMO. This gives them the light they desperately need to grow.
