I know you get that distinction, Batman. And then they decided to gang up and searched my tweets to find things to be mad about in an attempt to discredit me. They have partisan Stockholm syndrome. They secretly love their masters in the Democratic Party. 2/2

Thanks for the explanation, Twitter is admittedly not the best format for actual conversations, so it leaves a lot to the imagination sometimes. I'll share this in scsreenshot to see if she is interested in unblocking you.

Feel free to do what you want, but the truth is that the reason I'm running for congress isn't just to "win" or even to change policy, because we can't change policy until we change the system. And the system is designed to polarize and force a false Dem/Rep choice. 1/2

I'm trying to change the system itself. That's my goal. And some people like Stephanie are likely lost causes at this time anyway. But thank you. 2/2

I'm not sure who you're referencing, but neither
@sldmfree nor any other progressive comrades suffer from Stockholm syndrome or are "lost causes". It's an odd choice of words for someone who claims the parties are the problem. They are, but so is divisiveness and exclusion.4 odpowiedzi 3 podane dalej 9 polubionych -

One of the people in the thread donated money to the dumbest Democrat in the race, who happened to win a QUARTER BILLION DOLLARS in the lottery, because they didn't like that I thought we should talk to conservatives about universal healthcare. So, you tell me.

Admittedly, that is not the most favorable interaction, but it is still not an irreversible action. I happen to agree that we should be talking to everyone. Some "conservatives" don't even know what that means anymore. They don't know about Teddy, Eisenhower days. Education.

I had my first debate ("forum") last Wednesday against 7 Dems and a Republican, and people I didn't even know, including the former Democrat mayor of the city where it was held, told me in no uncertain terms that I won handily. I know my strengths. Others should know theirs. NFM

See that's what I'm talking about. Just keep doing that, and you may win over those that you feel are "lost" causes.

I'm not counting on it. Confirmation bias won't allow people to admit they were in error. These cliques on Twitter are just like those in school: Group-think thinly veiled by individualism. I'm convinced many on here would rather whine than fix anything.

@RealSteveCox, take time to learn about us. What you call a "clique" has been responsible for everything from funding a wi-fi bridge at Standing Rock to the exposure of Steve Bittel and the corrupt Florida Dems leadership.
