How many people are buying hand grenades and rocket launchers?
The black market doesn't keep tabs to report to authorities. But I guarantee you they're being sold in likely relatively small quantities. What does that have to do with anything?

If they were legally sold, you’d know exactly how many were transacted. And you can bet people would be fighting for “their right” to purchase hand grenades. Would you like hand grenades to be sold on the legal US market? Why or why not?

You just made the argument to keep guns legal so we can monitor their sales. There isn't a big enough market to necessitate legalization to monitor those sales. Firearms, however, are a massive market.
