I believe in the ideals of the Democratic Party as espoused by FDR, and I think we can get there as a Party if we turn away from corporate politics & embrace grassroots. I'm an eternal optimist!
Fair enough. I still don't get it. 
To me, it's like saying I'm a Republican because of things Teddy Roosevelt said and did.
But more power to you. You're not the type to let the party machine overrun you, so I'm still on your side.

We're both on the left, for the most part. I have very little to argue with her about. I happen to believe the Democratic and Republican Party policies are mostly interchangeable, since their donors are also mostly interchangeable. And I abhor group-think and team politics. 1/2
