With the #GOPTaxScam taking away the (already far too low) $250 worth of supplies teachers could formerly write off on their taxes, this should make up for a decent chunk of that for teachers teaching in district 39.

And to be clear, I think it's an absolute travesty that teachers are expected to pay for *any* school supplies out of their own income in the first place. It's like asking firefighters to buy their own hoses. It's nonsense. And it's unacceptable. 3/
We need to refocus our country on doing what's right here at home. Not "doing what's convenient" or "doing what's cheap" but "doing what's right."
And this is only *one* of the ways I will work to right our wrongs.
