I could see dems pass legislation to protect net neutrality, not so much with repubs. I could see repubs making abortion either no longer a right, or so difficult to obtain that it has the same effect as no longer being a right. I can't see dems passing the tax bill repubs did.

Dems had many chances to do something on net neutrality and never did. They'd structure the tax thing differently and donitvthrough loopholes, end result the same. Abortion is due to religion, not party.

I don't feel like anything you just rebutted any of my examples. You basically just said you disagree with my interpretation. So, we're back to agree to disagree.

1. dems didn't have to do anything to support net neutrality, other than not challenge it 2. There's no way a dem controlled congress passes a tax bill with the same effects 2. Regardless of why, more dems are supportive of abortion rights, so it matters

But the FCC, in a PARTY-LINE vote, had already reclassified broadband, which had the effect of ensuring net neutrality. So, again, all dems needed to do was not challenge that. It was repealed in another PARTY-LINE vote. So, my point stands.

It doesn't. But whatever. Vote for Democrats. We end up with the government we deserve.

Don't confuse my saying that dems and repubs are not the same to mean I'll vote for an unacceptable candidate, dem or otherwise. I don't vote lesser evil. But I think it'd be a nice political consequence if the repubs who voted for this bill lost their seats, even to shitty dems.

The seats are bought by the same industries and corps, so switching out a Republican with a Democrat means the seat is occupied by the exact same special interests. All you're doing is changing the name on the door.
