You are either a Democrat or you're not. If you don't like the party fine, but stop trying to hijack the Party. Because we ain't having it.

Parties aren't clubs. Anyone can join them and push for change within them. You don't get to keep anyone out, so you're "having it" whether you want to or not. The US is a 2 party system so the Dems have to be reformed or be destroyed for any progress to occur

You don't need parties *at all* and you definitely don't need these two. Prior to the two we have now, we had Democrats and Whigs. A lot of people have some twisted version of Stockholm syndrome. The parties *are* the problem.pic.twitter.com/OZzooW8aX1

Steve, I wish you the best. I hope running as an Independent works for you. I still believe that appealing to the middle class and those who are a great deal more successful is ok for the Democratic Party and does not mean we are sacrificing our ethics.

So it was ok for legislators who were in charge of banking regulations to take money from the banking lobby? (Dodd/Frank)

Dodd-Frank is Strong and you know it is working because Republicans are working feverishly to dismantle it. I lost my home to Foreclosure. I had a subprime loan.

Strong? The banks are bigger than they were when they were "too big to fail", they are still gambling with depositor money, they still are issuing subprime mortgages...

Here's the truth of the Dodd-Frank Act: http://www.rollingstone.com/politics/news/how-wall-street-killed-financial-reform-20120510 … Remember, Bill Clinton proudly signed the repeal of the Glass-Steagal Act.

Exactly. It was like putting a band aid on a bullet wound.
