I'm definitely no fan of HRC but that's the point she's making. The Rolex represents superficial wealth. She's asking if you could imagine buying something like that with money you've set aside for your kids. But, yeah, she's still more out of touch than Hall & Oates.
I get that. The issue is that 69% of the country doesn't have enough in savings - for their kids or otherwise - to buy even the cheapest Rolex. And not for nothing, since we're under a fiat currency system, her point doesn't actually make sense even how she meant it.
