Well, I disagree. They have the right to elect those who should provide appropriate oversight. You’re chasing unicorns. Humans are imperfect and therefore our governments will also be imperfect.
Our intel committees are occupied by people whose chief donors are all companies that profit from these conflicts. And the false pretenses for these conflicts (Gulf of Tonkin, WMDs) are bolstered if not fabricated by the IC. If you're for liberty, you're on the wrong side.
