Whistleblowers are jailed here. Manning didn't expose anything that put anybody at risk. To my knowledge, neither did Snowden. But who went to jail for what they exposed? NOBODY.

You don’t know what the fuck you’re talking about. To YOUR knowledge? Once a source is exposed those who wish to hide stop using the source tech or stop doing what they are doing and find another way. You really need to stop watching movies.

Ok, tell me specifically who was exposed by either of the two mentioned. I'll wait here.

Did you read what I wrote? If you expose a source or method that allows you to collect intel and those who would do us harm stop using whatever tech or stop doing what they were doing, we are now essentially blind. Get off the self-righteous horse and join the real world.

In the real world, bulk data collection of Americans is the opposite of what America purports to be. In Manning's case, Manning didn't expose people OR tech. Why was Manning jailed and not anybody who did the things Manning exposed?

He divulged classified information. Period. End of. The difference with him is he didn’t run. He had his sentence commuted. Again, some day, when you sign that paper and take the oath to keep secrets, you’ll understand what that means.

Right. So, you said this below, and you ask why Snowden ran? Haha... c'mon. There can be no government secrets in a free society. You can't violate American liberty to protect American liberty. It's impossible. So, pick a side: American liberty, or American subjugation.

One stood up for what he believed was right. He still broke the law. The other ran to an enemy country. Why go there and why do you think they offered him protection?

Doesn't matter. In a free society, Snowden wouldn't have been threatened with jail in the first place. Manning either. You're on the wrong side.

Sorry, that not the way the rule of law works. Neither of them divulged their information in the capacity of a whistleblower and broke the law. You are on the wrong side of the law. Don’t quit your day job.

If the truth is on the wrong side of the law, the law is the problem.
