Would you please read the chart? 100% of countries w/less gun violence than the US have better socioeconomics. 100% of countries w/more gun violence have worse socioeconomics. That's consistent. What is *not* consistent is gun violence relating to gun ownership.

Okay first caveat when reviewing these stats: “With less than 5% of the world’s population, the United States is home to roughly 35–50 per cent of the world’s civilian-owned guns, heavily skewing the global geography of firearms and any relative comparison”

Yep. And if gun ownership was the *cause* of gun homicides, we'd have an equivalent number of gun homicides as compared to the rest of the world. But again, I'm looking for any country with worse socioeconomics and a lower gun-homicide rate. Those are the two stats.
