Try not to take offense to this, but people who don't know anything about guns are often the people who hate guns. Semi-automatic is one trigger pull, one bullet. Just like a revolver.

There are approx 100M gun owners and approximately 30k people die via firearm every year - 1/3 homicide, 2/3 suicide. That means even if every single death is caused by a different gun owner, it would take over 33 years to get to 1% of gun owners having killed someone. 1/2

Of what the value are stats that attempt to defend the issue of guns based on small percentage of gun owners who commit crime. That’s a given. So what is the answer other than expecting a Govt who is not remotely interested in funding healthcare or making the changes you suggest?

Elect people who will do those things. Demand it. Remember: The alternative is gun laws they won't actually pass and that, even if they did, would do almost nothing to reduce the numbers.

And how do you offset the need for political candidates to raise funds to run for office in the first place when other candidates get bank rolled by not only the NRA but big pharma too
