Of what the value are stats that attempt to defend the issue of guns based on small percentage of gun owners who commit crime. That’s a given. So what is the answer other than expecting a Govt who is not remotely interested in funding healthcare or making the changes you suggest?
Elect people who will do those things. Demand it. Remember: The alternative is gun laws they won't actually pass and that, even if they did, would do almost nothing to reduce the numbers.

I'm doing it. Bernie raised $230 million with donations of $27 on average. It can be done. Hillary spent 3x what Trump spent and lost. Votes determine winners, not money.
