It is not a level playing field out there in terms of the law. Hate to say it but there is a societal perception that an armed African American male is illegally possessing a gun even if they have a concealed carry permit. The NRA was strangely silent on Castile’s case.
The NRA is not a gun-rights organization. They're a business. They make money by riling up the anti-gun crowd, and then threats against gun rights lead directly to donations.
