I’m learning it’s best not to engage with Americans when discussing healthcare, particularly one who supports the right to own a gun yet not the healthcare that might help the mentally ill who shoot up schools/concerts/churches or that has to treat the victims of gun violence

I know. I will never understand that mentality. I understand why Americans want to preserve their Second Amendment rights, but more control is needed. Mentally ill people should not be allowed to buy or own weapons. The shootings recently are heartbreaking to hear.

I have no issue with 2nd Amendment other than it has been completely ‘bastardised’ from its original intent & that Sandy Hook was seen as a price worth paying to be an armed society & that my kids have to practice regular active shooter lock downs at their high school. Insanity
