No. Chew your own food. I’m going to bed.

If you make a claim you should back it up. But ok.

You seem like an earnest guy. Like a guy who wants to understand and will do the hard work. I am steeped in this issue. You should be too, since you’re running on it. Besides, if you actually research it yourself, you might have confidence in the results.

I've researched this issue for 20 years now, and I do ALL my research myself. I also write everything myself. Pretty arrogant for you to assume otherwise when you haven't read the source material.

Ok, Stevie. You asked me for the source material on MO. So clearly your research is lacking by your admission. Also, since this is your first election, if you’re having this much trouble with me, good luck with your opponent. Nighty night, Steve.

No, I've read the cherrypicked Bloomberg stats. I just wanted to make sure that's what you were talking about. That politico article I linked you to covers some of that. I've cited all my stats. All of them.

You really like to condescend to people. You should try to be better about who you choose to condescend to.

Nope. Not about this. Not about what might prevent the next wholesale slaughter of 6 year olds. I’ll employ whatever rhetoric methods I want to garner the reaction I want. Also, lecturing someone about their tone is pretty condescending.

Want to prevent the slaughter of 6-year-olds? Make sure a vetted, trained, responsible adult is armed well enough to kill a shooter. Anything else is wishful thinking, hoping for police to show up (with guns).

As long as that person is a trained law enforcement officer, fine. But that’s not good policy for prevention. You ask survivors what they want and they want better background checks. I’m not here to change your mind. But I am here to point out that it needs changing.

Why does it matter what job they hold as long as they're subject to the same background checks and weapons training as police? Could be a janitor, a teacher, a principal. What's the difference?

Background checks won't prevent mass shootings, either. Washington Post details them here to prove it: https://www.washingtonpost.com/amphtml/news/fact-checker/wp/2015/12/10/marco-rubios-claim-that-no-recent-mass-shootings-would-have-been-prevented-by-gun-laws/ …
