Thank you. We're not far out of your district and watching your race. We work closely with our local PD; luckily, all the neighbors watch. Reagan: Yes. He. Did. I grew up in a NorCal town with one of the largest "State Farms" - when they were shut down, they became our homeless.
Right. Look, I really want to fix this. It's just that the numbers tell me the guns aren't the way to do it. There are things we should do in regard to guns, but we need to realize those things aren't going to "fix" anything. They'll prevent isolated shootings. That's it.

Agreed. It's a very complex issue. Taking guns en mass is nearly impossible under any circumstance nor do I think that's an answer. I want to believe the numbers that indicate most of us want (and would cooperate with) common sense solutions that can help reduce the numbers.

The numbers: Approx 30,000 gun deaths per year (1/3 homicide, 2/3 suicide). 100M gun owners. If every gun owner killed only 1 person, it would take over *33 years* for 1% of gun owners to kill either themselves or someone else.
