Agreed. I'm a (responsible) life long gun owner but this is simply common sense stuff. I support common sense restrictions - I live next door to one of the mentally unstable individuals who are allowed to own a weapon whose family won't take it away because he might "get mad."
That sucks. I'm sorry. Reagan defunded our nation's mental-health infrastructure 30 years ago and it's a major problem.

Thank you. We're not far out of your district and watching your race. We work closely with our local PD; luckily, all the neighbors watch. Reagan: Yes. He. Did. I grew up in a NorCal town with one of the largest "State Farms" - when they were shut down, they became our homeless.

Right. Look, I really want to fix this. It's just that the numbers tell me the guns aren't the way to do it. There are things we should do in regard to guns, but we need to realize those things aren't going to "fix" anything. They'll prevent isolated shootings. That's it.
