The NRA doesn't *invent* these points. They *use* them to their advantage. They're things gun owners already believe. The first three things you listed are great, but they won't solve mass shootings. Abusers and criminals need convictions to be considered such. 1/2

And "keeping guns out of schools" only works while a gunman doesn't *want* to shoot up a school. Laws aren't magic. Any law's effectiveness is measured by its enforceability. We need to focus on really fixing these problems, not just passing ineffective laws. 2/2

That's the perfect argument for doing nothing about anything ever. Congrats. If the law isn't perfect i don't want it. Blah, blah, blah. No law is perfect, not all crime will be prevented. See if you can't fit "making things better" into your world view.
