To be clear, I asked about measures proposed that have been proven to reduce gun violence. Safety training would prevent many accidental shootings, but the people generally who need that training aren't the people who own the guns. They're kids who happen upon guns in someone else's home. Can we teach gun safety in school? Democrats say no.
