Calling it a mental health problem is a dog whistle. There is absolutely no way to test every person for mental illness and you know it.

The NRA has poisoned their minds. They stupidly think that if assault rifles are banned then other guns will be banned.

You can only ban sales of assault rifles, not ownership. There are hundreds of millions out there now.

100m gun owners, with approx 30k deaths per year (2/3 suicides), at that rate, it would take over 33 years to account for 1% of gun owners.
