You're finding correlation & assuming causation. Saying gun violence is ALL due to socioeconomic causes is too broad a generalization.

As a whole, it is socioeconomic. Because the bulk of *all* violence is socioeconomic. Look at the list. Wide variations in gun ownership...

Affluent? He lived in a trailer park, from what I understand. He was obviously distraught and wasn't getting help for it.

How many victims would there have been if he'd had a catapult?

Columbine high school shooters broke 23 gun laws in acquiring their weapons. Do you think a 24th would have prevented the tragedy?

I think licensing that requires universal background checks, safety training & renewal would help. It isn't all or nothing.
