No but neither does banning or controlling guns. Guns are NOT the root cause. The root is WHY. Mental illness.

The point is most mentally ill people don't go on shooting sprees. The problem is the gun(s) & has to be addressed at that level.
That's not true. It's also impossible in a country with hundreds of millions of guns owned by 100 million people.
