If we *truly* want to end these tragedies, we do it w/ universal (mental) healthcare, reducing the wealth gap, ending the war on drugs, etc.
In this particular instance, your logic doesn't hold water. The shooter had money, and no mental or drug issues according to his family.
The real question should be just how was he able to carry so many long guns to his room without Hotel management noticing?
