You do not have Rights because a Constitution grants them to you. YOU HAVE RIGHTS! ...the Constitution is Gov't acknowledging the fact
The Bill of Rights is *meant* to insure those rights from violation. It doesn't *bequeath* them to you. All people, everywhere, have them.

It's just that many governments violate those rights. Ours does, too.

Because the constitution is just a piece of paper. It can't protect us. It's *we* who must protect *it*. And we're failing.
