What other avenues are there to defeat ideas other than through education?

Ideas don't exist by themselves. Ideas live in people who have goals, needs, social lives. Shame can work, but lots of things do.

Threat of violence can stop the pursuit of certain goals, even if the idea was never refuted. Ppl are self-interested, not logic machines.

A fundamental (physiological) characteristic of human perception is the awareness of differences. That will not change.

However, race and religion are complex and are changing. The fact that different countries and cultures have different facial narratives...

Does mean that it is fluid to a large degree. Certain things like in-group/out-group dynamics are pretty stable, but...

The significance ascribed to race or religion can change a lot. I think as we go race will become more benign as an issue.
