We need to cut out the problem at its roots. Racism is an idea borne of ignorance. You can’t cure ignorance through force. 22/34

You can only cure ignorance through education. And you can only educate people willing to listen to you. 23/34

Every one of these statues we pull down entrenches the racists because they’re under attack. They’re not going to listen this way. 24/34

But we need them to. This society I’m working toward has to include everyone. They’re here. They’re included. 25/34

Most racists aren’t “bad people.” They’re ignorant people. They can and will change if we approach them the right way. 26/34

Having #antifa show up *wanting* to fight is not how we can accomplish this. It makes things worse, not better. 27/34
