I agree. Racism is taught. I believe the "conversation at the statue" should start with the matyr/hero not the tyrant/villain.

True but such statues should teach the sins and horrors of the past, most Confederate statues were designed to glorify the sins and horrors.

It doesn't matter. Non-racist people view those statues as shameful.
