So how do we get there without pointing this out to POC? Being forced to listen to bad ideas that will only make things work?

Pointing out what to POC? You think they don't know this? Racists are their bus drivers, teachers, coworkers, doctors, govt leaders.

I think they don't think racists are good people, or that they can change.

Pointing out that they have to engage racists and commit to dialog to fix the problem.

Why point it out to POC? If a racist person, through minor interactions, starts to genuinely open their mind, they will find ppl to talk to.

That's your experience? They'll seek out people themselves? If they were prone to that, they wouldn't be racist in the first place.

In my experience, bigots rarely listen to someone they don't already respect or connect to for another reason.

And there's a difference between disbelieving ppl can change, & refusing to carry burden of changing unwilling minds that intend you harm.
