Thanks for trying to be pedantic again, but the word is used in psychiatry (the diagnosis of mental disorders.)

There's obviously a lot of crossover, but personality disorders are typically the realm of psychologists, as they can't be medicated.

Whether or not a psychologist or psychiatrist treats the disorder is irrelevant to whether “sociopath” is a psychiatric word. OMG.
