Interaction. Preceded by lots of seeds being planted by people who cared. That's what changes minds. Force doesn't. Ever.

This is true to my experience as well. But those seeds of understanding are gifts, kindnesses. Not something to be demanded stridently.

I agree that it might be wrong to demand it. The problem is this is how it's cut out at its roots. It's the path to a fair and just society.

So how do we get there without pointing this out to POC? Being forced to listen to bad ideas that will only make things work?

Pointing out what to POC? You think they don't know this? Racists are their bus drivers, teachers, coworkers, doctors, govt leaders.

I think they don't think racists are good people, or that they can change.

Pointing out that they have to engage racists and commit to dialog to fix the problem.

Why point it out to POC? If a racist person, through minor interactions, starts to genuinely open their mind, they will find ppl to talk to.
