I think they don't think racists are good people, or that they can change.
Pointing out that they have to engage racists and commit to dialog to fix the problem.

Why point it out to POC? If a racist person, through minor interactions, starts to genuinely open their mind, they will find ppl to talk to.

That's your experience? They'll seek out people themselves? If they were prone to that, they wouldn't be racist in the first place.
