Yes. So it's not a good idea to suck on a any internal-combustion engine's exhaust. This is true. Not sure who was advocating such, though.

Right. And in the big picture, the numbers are too low to cause any major problems. Cars have cabin air filters.

The problem can be almost entirely addressed by simply making diesel exhausts larger in diameter and pointing them at the ground. #simple
