This is the kind of short-term thinking that has landed our country where it is today, because what if we put Nixon in prison? 7/22

I believe if justice were truly blind, & Nixon were actually put on trial, & then in prison, it could’ve represented a paradigm shift. 8/22

The powerful would’ve been put on notice that they are not immune to justice. That any and all people are equal under the law. 9/22

And frankly, I believe that very likely would’ve changed the entire direction of our country. 10/22

Culturally, we’d understand that nobody should be immune. We’d hold the powerful to higher, rather than lower, standards. 11/22
